Synchronicity

What do eating, reading, and praying have in common? When done together it creates a synchronicity in thinking and believing. Much like singing, when people sing the same words and the same tunes their breathing and heart rates miraculously become synchronized. When we eat, read and pray together, our minds and spirit begin to operate in unison.

Friendship Rally

Are your interested in hosting a Friendship Rally in your community or at your church? We would like to hear from you. Regardless of your location, we would like put together an event for you to invite believers who are serious or even curious about being a disciple who takes a disciple. We would like to invite local Christian musicians who would come and provide an upbeat and inspirational time of praise. The best part is that discipleship can become a family affair.

We cover our expenses with product sales (discipleship kit) and a love offering. In this present age, as Christians are being persecuted and ostracized worldwide. We have two choices a) do nothing; or b) go into all of the world making disciples. If we do nothing? Christianity will continue on it's course to become extinct in just one more generation. If we make disciples? God will manifest Himself in the world as you and I have never witnessed before!

Bookmarks

When you are diligent in your search for truth and meaning, you find yourself reading God's Word. I know that many people like to question the origin and voracity of the English Bible. That's OK. The original scriptures were written in Hebrew and Greek. The scriptures are meant for teaching and providing a source of illumination for our hearts, minds and souls.

Passive Christianity?

Is it possible that after receiving the FREE gift of "eternal life" and the restoration of a God-Me relationship, that we just want to settle in and enjoy life until the real party begins - in Heaven? As a believer, do you think you have a responsibility to share the good news? Share the JOY? Be a disciple?

Psychobiotics

Are you wondering what "psychobiotics" has to do with our spiritual wellness? Well, according to recent research (Zhou & Foster, 2015), there is a clear "gut-brain axis" that reflects the relationship of various bacteria in the gut (microbes) and mental health or illness. The mechanism is primarily via the vagus nerve which provides a major pipeline between the gut and the brain.

Parenting

I had a recent discussion about the profound impact of building strong relationships by sharing a meal together as a family, ONCE a week for 52 continuous weeks. If you think back, throughout your life, how many individuals can you remember sharing so many moments talking about intimate and personal topics. You hear parents complain about the lack of quality time being spent with their children thanks to busy schedules. Keeping your children engaged in quality activities, helping them realize their dreams is a great thing.

A World View

Isolationism is as archaic as a manual typewriter. Do you remember the days before word processors? The days of IBM Select Electric and Liquid Paper? In those days, long before the Internet, our concept of the world was shaped by books, news, and third person descriptions. That is not the world we live in today.

Translations

I am praying that God will provide individuals to help translate an upcoming book into a multitude of languages.

No Kidding?

Taking on a disciple is a big responsibility. It requires a twelve month or 52 week commitment. Meeting at least once a week for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This gives you a rare opportunity to get to know an individiual on a personal and intimate level.

 Here is an example.

The Problem?

If you are like me, you probably wonder why churches are so slow to adapt to the needs of their members. Almost every young person I talk to feels like the church of their parents and grand-parents just doesn't meet their needs and lacks relevance. The result is a dwindling representation of the under 30 crowd. So what's the problem?

I am glad you asked because I have an answer ...

Acts 2:42

You might be wondering about the combination of "eating", "reading" and "praying" as master plan for disciples. You realize that the Great Call to Action (aka, the great commission) was an instruction to a) go into the world and make disciples; b) baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; and c) to teach them to obey the commandments that were given to them. Specifically, "He said, "That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself." (Luke 10:27). Actually, Yehoshua said that ALL of the commandments could be summed up by this single instruction. He was telling His disciples that we please God through our relationships!

So here is where it gets good ...

Where is everyone?

According the Pew Research Center (2010) there are 2.2 Billion individuals who identify themselves as Christian throughout the world. On the surface, in the age of radical Islamic proselytization [ convert or die ], it appears comforting. Why should Christians be fearful? We comprise more than 1/4th of the total global population. But, take one look in the sanctuary of any given church on any given Sunday and you will be hard pressed to explain the statistics.

The Metrics

Have you ever wondered how YOU can change the world? Here is the best way to realize the fastest results. The strategy is simple and biblical. YOU can change the world when you "disciple -to- disciple." When you are a person who disciples and models how they can disciple others, and this pattern is repeated - the numbers grow exponentially.

Eat, Read & Pray

Discipling others is as simple as a) breaking bread together; b) reading from God's word; and c) praying - inviting God to be a part of the relationship. When you reduce the evangelistic movement in the first century to it's simplest form - you find that eating together, studying scripture (Torah), and prayer. In these days of confused situations, facing an onslaught of persecution - it is time for believers EVERYWHERE to change the world by returning to our most basic practice.

Here is what it looks like in other languages ...

Be Ye Glad

One of my favorite songs from the 1980’s is Be Ye Glad written by Michael Kelly Blanchard.

It is interesting to note that the author explained that the words were responses to the Iranian hostage crisis, mass killings in Cambodia, the murder of Israeli athletes in Munich by 8 Arab terrorists, Watergate, Kent State, People’s Temple mass suicide and the calamities of the 1970’s …
